Karla Moncada Gorena joined the university of Texas health science center in 2006 and worked the way up from entry level technician to associate director throughout the 15 years dedicated to the core.
She have been an organizing committee member for Flowtex, an ISAC recognized regional group, since 2011 and also served at President of flowtex from 2017-2021.
In 2021, she stepped down from president to organizing committee member when she joined Cytek biosciences as the sort specialist for the TAS team. She helped in the launch of the Aurora CS by bringing the voice of the customer to Cytek while assessing instrument performance in the field, training internal staff and customers.
In 2022, she was recruited to manage the East coast reagent team for cytek and quickly took over managing the Americas.
In 2023, as Cytek reorganized, the reagent team was laid off and she was offered a position as the Strategic Account Manager. In this position she managed key relationships with biotech, pharma, and CRO customers that have multi site/global presence. She coordinated collaborative work between Cytek and the strategic accounts to form partnerships that would align expectations and provide benefits to strategic accounts.
