Anugya Bhatt did her PhD in the field of Pesticide Toxicology from Jiwaji University Gwalior in 2006. She was awarded DBT-IISC PDF fellowship in 2007. Her post doctoral training focused on minocytes proteomic profiling in diabetic subjects. She joined Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology in 2008 as Scientist. Her key research areas are 3D bioprinting, stem cell spheroid research and proteomics. She has been associated with flow cytometry since 2012 and have conducted several workshops on basics flowcytometry, MSCs characterization, platelet activation markers etc.
She is also managing a COFRAC accredited laboratory at quality platform for the “Blood-Material” interaction studies for biomedical devices as per ISO 10993 part 4, where the effect of material properties on blood and blood components are analyzed. As a PoC device development program is leading a program for the development of the assay platform for the prothrombin time detection. To her credit she has several peer reviewed articles in International Journals and patents. Her current work focuses on skin 3D bioprinting, stem cell secretome and 3D cancer models for drug screening.
