About TETC
The Trust for Education and Training in Cytometry (TETC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing education, training, and capacity building in the field of flow cytometry. Established in 2018, TETC was founded with the vision of creating a vibrant cytometry community by providing high-quality educational opportunities for students, researchers, clinicians, technologists, and laboratory professionals.
Recognizing the growing need for structured flow cytometry education, Prof. Awtar Krishan, widely regarded as the pioneer of flow cytometry education in India, envisioned the creation of a dedicated non-profit organization to promote learning and collaboration in this rapidly evolving field. He entrusted Dr. Rekha Gour, who has been actively associated with the prestigious INDO-US Flow Cytometry Workshops since 2002, with the responsibility of establishing and leading TETC.
As the Managing Trustee, Dr. Rekha Gour has played a pivotal role in expanding TETC’s outreach by fostering collaborations with leading national and international organizations, educational institutions, hospitals, and industry partners. Under her leadership, TETC has successfully organized numerous onsite and online educational programs across India and internationally.
TETC’s primary mission is to provide an accessible platform where participants can acquire both fundamental and advanced knowledge of flow cytometry directly from internationally recognized experts. Through workshops, certificate courses, webinars, conferences, and hands-on training programs, TETC strives to enhance technical competency, promote best laboratory practices, and encourage scientific excellence in cytometry.
Continuing the legacy of Prof. Awtar Krishan, TETC proudly organizes the prestigious Annual INDO-US Flow Cytometry Workshops* in collaboration with leading academic institutions, research organizations, and healthcare centers across India. These workshops have become one of the most respected educational platforms for flow cytometry in the region.
