This was the “Advancing Biological and Clinical Research with Flow Cytometry – 2019” workshop conducted from 3rd–5th March 2019 in Kathmandu, Nepal.
The workshop focused on biological and clinical applications of flow cytometry and included both lecture-based and laboratory modules.
The lectures covered introduction to flow cytometry, applications, quality control, experimental design, fluorochromes and compensation.
Participants also learned about multicolor immunophenotyping, CD4/CD8 and CD34 counts, apoptosis and proliferation assays, clinical case studies and flow cytometry data analysis.
The laboratory sessions included machine setup, PMTV settings, antibody titration, compensation, DNA cell-cycle analysis, apoptosis and proliferation assays.
The workshop brought together experts and researchers from India, Nepal and other countries.
